Jhuwala is a postdoctoral researcher in the Cornea Genetics Laboratory. Her current research focuses on understanding the pathomechanisms of inherited corneal disorders (CHED, PMED, FECD, and TGFBI corneal dystrophies). She also plays a key role in preclinical investigations advancing an AAV gene therapy for CHED associated with loss of function of SLC4A11.
